The first book of The Fairie Queene has just been published. Edmund is in London to see that everything is printed as he wants it.

The Facts

It's true that the plot of the Fairie Queen is as stated. If you can keep up with all the characters, then well done.

It's true that he started writing in Ireland because he had the money for paper. And Sir Walter Raleigh did patronise the first draft (image 2) and wrote dedicatory poems for him. He did indeed invent his own stanza form.
